Yes.
One of the reasons this work exists is because many men are still told their experiences do not count. When men speak about abuse, they are often met with disbelief, dismissal, or silence.
That silence has consequences.
To raise awareness and share verified data, Charles Tupper also created Men Are Abused Too, a separate educational and advocacy initiative focused on statistics, resources, and public awareness.
Those who want to explore the broader data and research behind men and abuse can visit the awareness site to learn more.
Research shows that men account for the majority of suicide deaths in the United States, highlighting the urgent need for awareness, support, and safe spaces for men to heal.
This issue is deeply personal to Charles.
His lived experience informs why this work exists and why breaking silence and creating safe paths to healing matters.
A man's journey through abuse, healing, and empowerment,
turning pain into passion to becoming the Courageous Warrior Coach

Charles Tupper is the founder of Courageous Warrior LLC and the creator of Courageous Warrior Coach.
He is not just a coach.
He is a survivor.
What you are reading here is a brief version of his story. The full account will be shared in his upcoming book and through speaking engagements. This page exists to help you understand why this work matters and why it is approached with care, structure, and purpose.
Like many men, Charles’ story began in childhood.
At a young age, his home became unpredictable and unsafe when illness and medication led to violence from his father. Fear, instability, and survival became normal long before childhood had a chance to be simple.
Those early experiences shaped how he saw himself, relationships, and conflict, without him fully realizing it at the time.
Without guidance or healing tools, unresolved trauma followed Charles into adulthood and relationships.
Like many men who have experienced abuse, he tried harder, stayed longer, and hoped things would change. What followed was a long cycle of emotional harm, confusion, and endurance — not because of weakness, but because of love, loyalty, and belief.
Marriage is not easy. It requires tools, communication, and intentional work from both people. Without those tools, even good intentions can turn into unhealthy dynamics.
For decades, he endured far more than he should have, believing perseverance alone would fix what was broken.
In 2014, Charles made the decision to leave an abusive relationship for the final time.
That decision marked a turning point he could no longer avoid. It revealed how deeply long-term abuse had shaped his thinking, his choices, and his sense of self.
In the years that followed, between 2014 and 2017, Charles experienced a series of profound losses. These included two divorces, the death of a close friend who had been a steady source of support during decades of a toxic relationship, and just months later, the death of a fiancée.
It was during this period that a different decision emerged.
Rather than continuing in survival mode, Charles chose to invest in healing.
Healing did not happen overnight.
It required honesty, accountability, learning new tools, and rebuilding from the inside out. Through that process, Charles discovered something critical:
Men do not need to be fixed.
They need clarity, support, and practical tools to move forward.
Courageous Warrior Coach was created from that realization — to give men a structured, forward-focused path toward healing without shame, judgment, or labels.

Coaching provides practical tools and support to help men build the life they deserve, including healthier relationships and a stronger sense of self.
You deserve more than survival.
You deserve relationships built on respect, safety, and peace.
Relationships you do not fear, but feel steady within.
Where your voice is heard, your heart feels safe, and your mind can rest.
A life without walking on eggshells.
Without constant criticism or blame.
Without shouting, silence used as punishment, manipulation, or gaslighting.
Without being held responsible for everything while trying to hold everything together.
If you find yourself:
You are not alone.
And you do not have to keep living this way.
When you are ready, support is available.
